About the Role
As an AI Engineer at Enlace, you’ll design and build the intelligent systems that make our integration layer smart — from automated data mapping to natural language interfaces for clinical workflows. You’ll work at the intersection of LLMs, structured clinical data, and product.
What You’ll Do
- Build AI-powered features that help clinical sites work faster and more accurately
- Design and implement LLM pipelines for data extraction, transformation, and validation
- Develop intelligent mapping systems that connect disparate clinical data formats
- Build evaluation frameworks to measure and improve model performance
- Work closely with product and users to identify where AI creates the most leverage
- Stay on top of the rapidly evolving AI landscape and bring new capabilities into the product
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of experience building AI/ML systems in production
- Strong software engineering fundamentals — you ship reliable, maintainable code
- Hands-on experience with LLMs (prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, agents)
- Comfort with Python and TypeScript
- Good intuition for when AI is the right tool and when simpler approaches win
- Bonus: experience with healthcare data, HL7/FHIR, or regulated environments
